Senior Vice President, Product Development & Engineering
Frank DeMartin is responsible for Product Management, Engineering, Quality, and Connected Car Products for Directed Electronics. The Directed Product Development & Engineering team is focused on creating exciting new car security, remote start and car telematics products and services for the retail, new car dealer and OEM markets.
With a background in sales, marketing, product management and engineering, DeMartin spent nine years as Vice President with Mitsubishi Electric. Most recently during his time at Mitsubishi he was responsible for growing sales of commercial and residential electronics for North America. Prior to that he led all product development and marketing for the Mitsubishi consumer electronics group in the U.S.
Before joining Mitsubishi Electric, DeMartin was director of sales and marketing, for Sharp Electronics' Consumer Electronics Group. While at Sharp, he spearheaded the U.S. launch of AQUOS, the world’s first LCD TV. Previously, DeMartin was director of interactive technology for Sony Electronics, where his responsibilities included R&D, strategic planning and business development.
DeMartin holds an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
