DEI Holdings and the DEI Holdings Charitable Foundation Donate $25,000 to Relief Efforts in Haiti
VISTA, Calif., February 23, 2010 /-- DEI Holdings, Inc. and the DEI Holdings Charitable Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is: "To improve the quality of life for disadvantaged children in the communities in which we do business," today announced that they have each donated $12,500, a total of $25,000, to Hope For Haiti, which is leading relief efforts following the recent earthquake. Hope for Haiti has sent $40 million worth of aid to Haiti in the past 10 years, and 95 cents of every dollar donated is used for programs that help create a better future for the children of Haiti.
According to Jim Minarik, President & CEO of DEI Holdings and its Charitable Foundation, "The employees of Directed Electronics, Directed Canada, Polk Audio and Definitive Technology were shocked and saddened to hear about the devastation caused by the recent earthquake. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims, especially the many children and their families. We hope that this contribution will help in some small way."
