| Definitive Technology and Viper both win coveted "Best of Innovations" Awards |

Vista, California (11-17-2009) – DEI Holdings, Inc. announced today that two of its business units, Southern California-based Directed Electronics, and Maryland-based Definitive Technology, are being honored with three Innovations Awards at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show – two of them singled out for Best of Innovations honors.
The Best of Innovations winning Mythos XTR-50 is a revolutionary home theater loudspeaker just 1.5" deep, designed to complement today's ultra-thin televisions. Definitive Technology will also be recognized with an Innovations Award for its DI 3.5R Disappearing In-Ceiling Loudspeaker. Directed Electronics is receiving a Best of Innovations award for Viper SmartStart, the first product that allows users to start their car with their iPhone. SmartStart has captured the imagination of the public and received an enormous amount of press interest, with more than 100 TV segments aired to date. The product is currently available at Best Buy.
